From Sept. 16 to Sept. 27, Mr. Zhou Lijun, Board Chairman of CEM, visited Mangystau state and Aktau city in Kazakhstan with his team. During the visit, the delegation met with government of Mangystau and visited the economic development zone, ports, enterprises etc. in Mangystau. Both parties had consensus that the deep and large scale collaboration of production capacity between the two countries can not only connect China “One Belt One Road” with Kazakhstan “Bright Road” to boost each other’s economic development, but also demonstrate a new international production capacity cooperation under a brand new collaboration model.
On 25th, CEM and Mangystau government have signed the strategic cooperation memo to co-develop “Industrial Park in Caspian Sea on One Belt One Road”, and agreed to allocate 900 hektares of land closed to the harbor to develop the project. The project aims to serving as an important overseas platform to support the transferring of the advanced production capacity from China to international demand. The platform will support from production, engineering and technology service, commodity distribution & logistics, free tax zone, cross border e-commerce, and RMB settlement. The project will further deepen the collaboration of production capacity between the two countries, and boost the economic development respectively.
During the visit, the delegation also met the governors of Mangystau state and the president of People’s Bank of Kazakhstan.
